General policies and our most frequently asked questions.

Reservations are available online and they are released 1st of the month, the month prior to the reservation date (for example, reservations for December are released on November 1st).To use a gift certificate, email us at info@quincerestaurant.com to make your reservation.

Before booking, we ask that you review our information about dietary restrictions and email us in advance to confirm whether we are able to accommodate your request.

For reservations in the dining room and salon, a deposit is required in order to secure your reservation. The deposit will be deducted from your final bill. The deposit includes your food menu, 22% service charge, as well as local San Francisco taxes and mandates. A portion of the mandatory service charge is distributed directly to employees who participate in service during your visit. The remainder of the service charge is retained by the restaurant and applied to operating expenses. It is important to understand the service charge is different from a gratuity or tip. Additional menu supplements and beverages may be purchased at the time of your dining experience and billed with the same local entitlements.

All Quince reservations are final and non-refundable, including those with Covid-19 related circumstances. Reservations may be rescheduled only once, and up to 30 days after the original reservation date. If you would like to reschedule your reservation, please call or email the restaurant at least 72 hours in advance.

We can only hold the table for up to 15 minutes. After that, we cannot accommodate the reservation as it delays the next seating.

Due to the nature of a set menu with many courses, it can be difficult to accommodate dietary restrictions. We can meet requests such as gluten-free, vegetarian or pescatarian with advance notice (not upon arrival). Please inform the restaurant 7 days prior to your reservation if you, or anyone in your party, is requesting a menu modification. If you have very severe allergies or a combination of several different restrictions, (e.g., pescatarian AND no gluten), we will not be able to accommodate your requests. There are some specific ingredients we cannot completely exclude:

  • Sugar, salt, vinegar
  • Dairy may be limited but can not be completely excluded.
  • Cooked off alcohol (We can exclude raw alcohol.)
  • Alliums and mushrooms in the form of stock or sauces
  • Mushrooms or alliums on vegetarian menus

We are currently not offering valet parking. There is an outdoor self-parking lot at the corner or Sansome and Pacific (768 Sansome St.) for a $20 flat fee.

We kindly ask that guests do not bring in wine currently available on our wine list. Please email info@quincerestaurant.com to view our current offerings.

Our policy is $120 per 750ml bottles, with a limit of one bottle per two guests. So parties of three can bring one bottle, parties of five can bring two bottles, etc. Corkage for magnum-sized bottle is $240. Half bottles are treated as 750ml bottles.

We strongly discourage DSLR cameras, as well as no flash photography in the dining room. Videos are not allowed.

Business casual. Jackets are recommended but not required. Athletic wear, loungewear, shorts, T-shirts, short sleeves, baseball caps, sneakers and flip-flops are not permitted.

Due to the length of the meal and quiet ambiance of the dining room, we do not allow young children under the age of ten. Children ten years and older are required to partake in the full tasting menu. Many guests are celebrating a special occasion and look forward to a relaxing, uninterrupted evening. All parties larger than eight are directed to our private events team. We offer several options for private dining with accommodations for groups large and small.

We are available for off-premise and catered events to bring the Quince experience to a location of your choosing.
