DAVID LYNCH draws on a wide range of experience to direct the wine program at Quince, as a sommelier, an accomplished wine educator and award-winning author. David has garnered widespread praise and awards for his writings from the International Association of Culinary Professionals and has received the James Beard Foundation Award for Journalism. He is the co-author of the foremost reference books on Italian wines, Vino Italiano and Vino Italiano Buying Guide. In addition, David was honored in 2004 with the James Beard Award for Outstanding Wine Service as the Wine Director of Babbo Ristorante in New York.
David is a natural complement for the ingredient-driven cuisine of Chef Michael Tusk. Drawing on his extensive experience and deep knowledge of Italian wines, he has expanded Quince’s wine program to introduce small, lesser-known producers from Northwest Italy as well as some of the fine international wines of the world. As a consummate wine educator, he offers the guest at Quince a passionate and enlightened introduction to wines not readily seen outside of Italy.
